Jersey Budd, a sing songwriter from Leicester who smashed onto the music scene with his first album “Wounderlands” back in 2009,  which Q Magazine called “a rockicking bar room rock in thrall to Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen”.

I went to see Jersey at the 02 Academy in Leicester for Jersey’s home town gig from The Gathering Dust tour, I have been to a few of Jersey’s gigs over the years and like every gig I go to of his I was not disappointed with what I heard.

Starting out with some new tracks of his new album “The Gathering Dust” in no time at all he had the crowed drawn in. My personal favourites were “Thinking For Two” being a slow, stunning number and “Justified” which had me singing along. He also played some old tracks which always go down well and get the crowed singing along. One of my friends who I went to the gig with had never seen Jersey live, she loved it and came out a fan of Jersey and said “He was fantastic”.

A talented singer and songwriter who makes anyone who hears him stop and listen to each and every word he sings, a guy full of talent who knows how to get the crowed going and singing along to his songs. An artist at the top of his game who you need to see live yourself to see how talented he really is.
