After the success of their previous single ‘Leaving’, London-based band The Pylons have taken a break from their vegetable garden to announce their alluring new offering. A captivating look into the volatile nature of life, ‘Grumble’ was written and produced in the band’s home studio where the group live in delicate harmony whilst advocating for each other’s mistakes.

Inspired by the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Tame Impala and Everything, Everything, the single revolves around the idea of voicing discontent, detailing a snapshot of reality from the perspective of the underdog. Dealing with an honest portrayal of the human psyche, the indie four-piece and their live-in live sound engineer have produced a raw and dynamic sketch of melancholy that bursts with lyrical ingenuity, lulling you into a world of contemplation. Traversing the fine line between indie-rock and alternative-pop, this newly aggressive tone combines a dizzying array of layered drums, swooning guitars and bitingly sharp vocals in a dynamic display of originality.

The single starts with some incredible lyrics that will make you stop what ever you are doing and listen to every word. The lyrics combined with the catchy and unique sound and some impressive instrumentals will have you tapping along throughout this instantly memorable single. The band have created a single that has a magical sound to it which will instantly grab your attention.

This single is full for catchy melodies, delicately controlled vocals and chiming guitars. It’s very much a summer single, full of the scents of summer. It’s easy to hear the track and picture the band on the summer festival circuit. Making instantly memorable singles with lyrics that grab your attention is not an easy thing to do, but it’s clearly a knack that this band have.

This was the first track I have heard from the band, when I find new music it usually takes me a few listens to fully appreciate the track and to become a fan, however this was not the case with this incredible single. This single had my full attention within seconds, I even had goose bumps as I sat listening to this track, not only did I have this track stuck in my head for the rest of the day but its also made me become a fan and I can’t wait to hear more from this talented band.
