Durham based Viaduct are a three-piece band who have recently released their debut single ‘There Are Days’ which is now available on all platforms.
The band say “this song started as a poem to reflect on the world in which we live and incorporated ideas about a brighter/happier future. The structure of the poem was then shared among friends who decided to create a song together. The project of making the song bonded us closely and made us form the band we have today. We called ourselves VIADUCT as it connects us to the local area in which we’ll be living in together next year – beneath the viaduct by the train station!”
This incredible single will immediately have your full attention, it tells a story beautifully and is a joy to sit and listen too. The warm, acoustic sounds combined with the vocals creates a chilled atmosphere. The lyrics will capture your imagination and I feel we can all relate to them, they draw you in and you cannot help but sit and listen to every word.
The vocals are something that has stayed consistently strong throughout this single, combined with the instrumentals it gives this single a unique sound and will awaken every hair on the back of your neck.
It’s not the sort of thing I would usually sit and listen to, but these guys had me hooked! I feel this is something we could all do with listening to at the moment and help to focus on a much happier future where we are allowed back at gigs.
Great job guys!
