The Early Mornings are a 3-piece band formed in Manchester in 2018, made up of Annie Leader – Guitar/Vocals, Danny Shannon – Bass, Rhys Davies – Drums. Their latest single ‘Blank Sky’ is available to stream on all music platforms.
The single begins with some modulated vocals and a simple harmonic bassline which work together so well to create a single which grabs your attention within the first few seconds of pressing play on this impressive single. A punchy guitar riff and drum beat soon follows which is the finishing touch to give this single a unique sound which for me instantly stands out.
The delightful simple lyrics will have you listening to every word Annie sings effortlessly without fail. Annie’s vocals really help to make this single something so special that you can’t help but fall in love with instantly.
This Gritty post-punk track was the first single I have heard from this talented band, I was impressed with what I have heard so far, the bands rawness and ability to create a catchy and powerful single which has their own unique sounds and twist is something special and I fell you need to listen to the band to understand what I mean.
