How did you all meet?
“Dan forced us together haha! But seriously, we’ve all kinda know of/each other since back to id say, 2007? Dan and I have wanted to make music together since we met and he finally put out a post on facebook, to test the waters and see if anyone wanted to get on board. We kinda knew what we wanted to go for but never expected there to be six of us! Rob, who Dan knew from Maven and Chasing Cadence reached out and we all hit it off straight away. We then met Joe, who was living with Rob at the time and convinced to hop on too…after a lot of persuading and hobknobs. Dave, who I always knew as an awesome drummer and all round good guy from back in the day, came on after about of year as Dan, Rob and I were writing material. Si and Dan had been in The Younger about 8 years proper and let’s face it, are best mates, so it was right to finish the last piece of the puzzle by bringing him onboard. The rest is history”.
Who were your musical influences growing up?
“Mine in particular were The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, and Fleetwood Mac. I am an absolute sucker for harmonies and I think the type of music I listened to when I was growing up has really helped me as a singer today. I think for the band, we all share such a deep appreciation for 70’s-80’s music and certainly pull a lot of inspiration from the particular styles of songwriting. Of course with a bit of a pop punk/rock sprinkle on the top”.
What made you want to be in a band?
“I’ve always sung in groups or choirs since I was a child so really, being in a band in my 30’s feels like it was the natural profession of things haha. There is something so special and being around people who are wanting to create and play music or sing, so I do feel very lucky to be part of this band, not only for the music but the fact I get to be with my friends when I do it”.
What has been your best gig?
“In truth, we’ve not played one yet but we cannot wait to be able to come back and answer this question in maybe a year :)”
Can you tell us a bit about your music?
“Dan coined the phrase “pink powered pop rock” and I can’t think of a better way to sum us up! We say we are crossover of Fleetwood Mac & Paramore and have the ability to steal your attention and hijack your heartbeat 😉 our new single, New Sad Song will be out on New Year’s Day 2023! Super excited to debut this as we had the most fun making the music video. #NewYearNewSadSong”

What are your plans for the rest of 2022?

If your band had to be remembered for one thing apart from your music what would you want it to be?
“Keeping people slightly engaged in a world of tiny attention spans haha”
