Matter of Mind are an Alternative Emo Rock group from Stockport, a town that resides in Greater Manchester, UK. The band consists of J Lambert-Philp (Vocals & Guitar), Rob Bramwell (Bass), Ash Meadowcroft (Guitar) and Connor Mcque (Drums). Matter Of Mind have gone against the grain with their musical style and have not stuck to the typical ‘Manchester’ sound. They channel a classic, old school emo/post hardcore influence but with a modern twist and throw pop melodies into the pot that will have you singing your heart out until your throat is bloody.

The band have gigged relentlessly, storming the stages of the UK and parts of mainland Europe.

Matter Of Mind are really soul searching in ‘Losing Faith’. It poses the questioning of ones identity and how we can feel so lost in such a vast but yet occupied world. Is there really a god? Or are we alone?

The songs musical delivery juxtaposes those feelings however, with soaring synth leads and crushing post hardcore guitars. The vocals intertwine with catchy pop melodies to frustrated emotional screaming. Their last single caught the attention of BBC Radio 1 with multiple radio plays before it even released, so ‘Losing Faith’ is sure to reach the ears of the listeners who need it. This is one for the lost souls.

The track itself has been recorded really well and shows some great instrumental talent from all the band members as well as some fantastic vocals by Jordan. Their lyrics provided a catchy chorus which you will know off by heart once you’ve listened to it once.

It’s impossible to not listen to incredible track from beginning to end and not become hooked, the strong vocals, layered guitar riffs and brilliant instrumentals will have you up on your feet dancing around as if you are at one of the bands gigs. As always, this track is everything you would expect to hear from the band, full of phenomenal sounds and vocals with the 00’s emo style sound with the bands own unique twist.

The bands high energy instantly grabs your attention whilst their unique sound packs a punch and draws you in. This is an impressive single, the band have managed to create another great track which instantly recognisable as a Matter of Mind track, it shows off their musical talents and combined classic sounds we love to hear.

This is a quality song which you can tell has been put together with a lot of care and attention to detail. Another brilliant track to add to an already impressive set list and a track which will no doubt go down well with the fans when they play it live.
