Ashley Stacey is an Indie Rock singer / songwriter from South East London.

Inspired by the likes of The Beatles & Oasis, “Up To My Eyes” is a sleazy 12 bar blues groover. The retro influences seep through into this toe tapper with its double tracked vocals, bouncy bassline and rocking guitars. The lyrics come from a place of frustration with society and the modern world but there is hope in the underlying message, and the sound, which suggest there is solace to be found in love & music!

This single has a sound which instantly grabs your attention – a basic guarantee from any song created by Ashley, it will have you tapping along and there is no escaping it along with brilliant instrumentals which help to create a catchy, upbeat sound which you will instantly fall in love with.

It usually takes me a few listens to a single for me to fully get into it, however, this was not the case when I pressed play on this single. Within the first few seconds of listening to this single I was sold, the guitar riff instantly made me stop what I was doing and listen whilst the lyrics became stuck in my head, I was hooked.

The whole single is so lyrically skilful and has such a catchy and unique sound you can’t help but fall in love with. The brilliant instrumentals, along with the vocals for me had my full attention from the very beginning.

Demonstrating an incredible range and with the various tones Ashley had managed to create something that truly captures the listeners attention. He has create a powerful single which has everything a fan would want to hear and much more.
