Music has been a huge passion of mine since I was a kid, growing up I use to listen to a lot of my dad’s album’s he had in his collection. I mainly grew up listening to Oasis, Stone Roses, Kasabian, The Prodigy, Cast, Shed Seven and Inspiral Carpets etc, anything my dad use to play I would listen to I would love it.

My first ever favourite song was ‘FireStarter’ by The Prodigy I was about 18 months when that was released, my dad was impressed but I don’t think my mum was so thrilled about it as she was more into chart music. As I got older I started to go to gigs and finding new bands to listen to such as Arctic Monkeys, Courteeners and The Fratellis, I also started to collect vinyl’s which again my dad was impressed with.

At 18 I started to find some locals bands from around my area and I decided I wanted to see what my city had to offer to the music scene and to find some more good unsigned local talent, I started to search and found some great locals bands and artist. I soon started to find more unsigned bands and artist across the UK and I decided I wanted to help these great bands and artist out, so I started to go to their gigs and write up reviews, fast forward a few years I decided to start up my own music blog and help these bands and artist out as much as I could.

My two biggest passions are music and football, I support Leicester City. One of the best gigs I’ve been to has to be Kasabian at The King Power Stadium purely because they are a great band to see live and because of the venue and Leicester had just won the Premier League! to me it was perfect and such a special gig.

Favourite Artists/Bands – Kasabian, Oasis, The Prodigy, The Stone Roses, DMA’s, The Twang, Cast, Jake Bugg, Buddy Holly, The Kinks, The Verve and The Jam.

I’m music and football mad! Music has been a passion of mine since I was a kid, it’s even given me a job. As a kid I spent most of my weekends with my mum and older brother going around watching my uncle play at pubs and working men’s clubs. As I got older my uncle started to take me to gig’s and local music festivals around the Midlands which I loved.

My uncle was into Brit Pop music, so I spent a lot of time listening to his CD’s he had and also a few of my mum’s CD’s which were mainly of Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash and Elvis (Don’t ask I still don’t quite know myself why I use to like them so much). My music taste is different to say the least, I can go from listening to Johnny Cash to Guns n Roses. I started to learn to play the drums when I as 10, when I was 14 my uncle started to teach me how to play the guitar which I fell in love with.

I spend most of my time working at gigs and festivals, going to football, gigs and running around after my son. My goals in life are to make my son happy and proud also to make him a huge Leicester City fan and for him to have a great music taste which is going well so far. My son spends most of his time telling me to stick one of my CDs on and 9/10 he asks for The Stone Roses or one of the local’s bands I listen too (he’s learning well).

Favourite Artists/Bands – Oasis, The Who, The Stone Roses, Kasabian, Guns n Roses, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Nirvana and The Rolling Stones.

Dodgem – Writer                                                                                                        I’ve been passionate about music from a very early age, I have delved into some of the rarest areas of music genres, as such I enjoy writing about everything music. In recent years, I have spent my days researching new and unsigned artists with the intention of finding the best new tracks. I am an experienced writer and I am a strong believer that learning is a life time commitment. As a result, I am constantly looking to improve my writing through consistent education. Outside of the music world I enjoy reading and my love for the book has pushed me into the writing world. A world which I could never imagine being without.
